Why did I pick Gardner Douglas, well it was a customer of GD showing his car on the GD stand at a kit car show that finally clinched it. Well that and the fact that GD actually race their cars, their Cobra was the first to pass SVA, they have been in the business for over 10 years, the design of the chassis is different and feels solid / well designed compared to the tin tubs you usually get, I could go on.....

That was it, I signed on the dotted line a few weeks later during their open day, "Welcome to the family" was Meena's parting comment as I left.

I'm quite a long way through the build now and for someone who has no real mechanical sense it's been easy, although the video, the odd phone call and the digital photos do help (thanks Andy). With not much room to store parts GD helped there too. they quickly process and arrange delivery of parts as and when I need them.

One final thing I can't wait to blast my Cobra down the coast where I live and show the boy racers in their Nova's and Saxo's what a proper car looks, sounds and goes like.
